During the August Exile, we went looking for the beach at Cap d'Ail, having been told it was nice and worth going to. Didn't find it. Did find a picnic area and a very windy coastline, with huge waves. (If anyone knows where we went wrong from the picnic area, do shout...)

Nice area, you did take a nice photo of Bono's summer house.
We found the beach when we were there. I can't tell you how we got there though. It was one of those things that drive my girlfriend crazy where I just say "Hey what's over here?" and wander off dragging her behind me.
In fact I think I remember the entire incident.
"Hey, I wonder what's over here?" as I start walking down a path right next to a house.
My girlfriend rolls her eyes and looks to the heavens. "Where are you going?"
"I wanna see what's over here." I start down the path again.
She looks at the house, the path, the gate and yells after me, "I think this is somebodies house!"
"Yeah but this isn't America they aren't going to shoot us. Come on."
And then we found the beach. Nobody was on it but it was a dreary day. Sand not stone. Fairly small. We walked back to Monaco and had great pizza at this little place in the old town.
Clearly we weren't looking hard enough, then Tim! I'll make an effort again before the summer finishes, particularly if it's a sand beach...
I can give you one hint... I remember it was on the west end of the town.
Though I am pretty sure it was a private beach :)
