Wedding jewellery: bracelet

I got around to finishing the bracelet for my wedding a few days ago - it's a small sterling silver Byzantine chainmaille bracelet with 4mm lapis lazuli beads and tiny 3mm ivory freshwater pearls.

Now all that's left is the earrings!

Jewellery sale

I'm holding a sale on my jewellery - it's summer, the sun is shining, and I need to clear out some old stock. So, all of my jewellery in my Etsy, DaWanda and ALM shops is discounted by 40% until the end of July.

My Etsy shop has the biggest range of products, so go and see if there's anything you or your loved ones want/need/deserve. Go, now!

A better day

Today has been productive! So far, I've made breakfast, done two loads of laundry, been to the pharmacy, half made dinner, hoovered, and taken lots of photos of jewellery.

TAD - Day 25: a pearl and sterling silver bracelet

I appear to have completely forgotten to post this yesterday. Bad me. I blame the sunshine - it's nice weather here again finally!

Anyway, yesterday's Thing was a red and white freshwater pearl bracelet, wrapped in argentium sterling silver and finished with a handmade argentium toggle clasp.

Today's Thing will come later, as inspiration strikes...

TAD - Day 18: silver and blue dragonscale bracelet

ETA: Now with pictures!

Today's Thing is a bit of a cheat - it took longer than half an hour, and I actually started yesterday. But it's taken so much time, I a) want to share it and b) don't think I've got the energy to do another piece today!

It's the bracelet to match the earrings I posted the other day, made from aluminium in silver and blue.

TAD - Day 7: silver and pewter earrings

Todays Thing is the below pair of earrings. They use silver plated wire, surgical steel ear wires and pewter discs. They complement a necklace I'm slowly making using the same discs - I'll show pics when done (if it ever gets done!).

Shield maiden earrings

There's also a better picture of the bracelet from yesterday.

TAD - Day 2: A circus bracelet

This is one in a series of bracelets I make - so you will likely see others, particularly over the next few days, since they're quick and easy to make. Antibiotics are, though, making a difference already, so hopefully the Evil Illness will be gone soon!

Blue and green glass beads are wrapped in silver-plated wire and the bracelet is finished with a handmade toggle clasp in the same wire. (Tutorial for the clasp can be found at http://popnicute.etsy.com, if you're interested; that's where I got it from, anyway!)

New year, new jewellery

I haven't forgotten I'm supposed to be writing about Christmas. I'm working on it. I'm also working on finishing my story (up to 61k by now). And sorting out my tax return for the UK - that one's more a sort of passive sorting out, some may call it procrastinating, even. Possibly even ignoring it and hoping it will go away.

But I am also still making jewellery, and have three new bracelets that I made yesterday to show you.

Sunday roundup

18,017 words and I'm rapidly running out of outline. Hopefully inspiration will strike soon, because otherwise the last 30k words are going to be very, very slow going...

Today we went for a Sunday roast at something pretending to be an English pub just back from Monaco. Venue left something to be desired, but the food was good - I was too full to have sticky toffee pudding. This is a tragedy. I weep for my lack of sticky toffee pudding. I shall have to go back, one day.

Since it's grey and cloudy here today (I weep some more, extra-theatrically) I don't have any nice scenery photos to show you - you can have pictures of my last pieces of jewellery instead.

Jewellery pics

I'm in the middle of sorting through pictures from the weekend - Paul's sister came over (Hi Claire!) and we did touristy things. The weather is still lovely, so we might go somewhere new and exciting this week. Or not.

I've finally got around to taking some photos of new pieces of jewellery I've done - you're the very first people to see them, don't you feel special? The turquoise piece is a companion piece to Isis, a lapis pendant that sold the other week, the carnelian bracelet is as far as I'm going with anything remotely related to Halloween colours, and the last piece, the sardonyx and pearl pendant is so pretentious, I'm not sure even I can bear it - it's a pendant inspired by a religion I've created in my head for the book I'm still planning to write next month. Religion doesn't even play a huge part in the book. The listing of that one may have to wait for a bit, til I work out whether it plays a role in the story...

Copper Byzantine

I've been lacking some inspiration recently, so my new pieces are tending to the simple and boring. I like Byzantine though, so here are some pretty pieces:

Things I've been working on

Now we've moved, in between unpacking, I'm slowly getting back into making things. Quick set of pictures below, of a pendant, a pair of earrings and a couple of bracelets, in styles I've not made before. That, and spending time on the beach - it's so much quieter on the beach now August has ended, it's fabulous!

Earrings:

Oh, and a photo of a palm tree that was sitting on my phone. Just because it's still summer here.
